Hillview Farms is a Farmland preserved Land
New Jersey's farmlands are the foundation for a strong
agricultural industry and a way of life for generations
of farm families. Scenic landscapes of green, productive
fields are an important part of what makes New Jersey
a desirable place to live and work. Farmland preservation
clearly is an important investment in our economy, our
farming heritage and the overall quality of life for each
and every New Jerseyan.
With overwhelming voter support for New Jersey's million-acre
preservation initiative - including the preservation of
500,000 acres of farmland -- New Jersey has substantial
resources to make that investment. The 1999 Garden State
Preservation Trust Act has produced nearly four times
more available funding than in the past. This means that
landowners now have more opportunities than ever to play
a role in preserving New Jersey's agricultural heritage.
